WE NEED VOLUNTEERS LIKE YOU!

Registered volunteers who help at a race earn a reserved place in a future marathon! Volunteers who can help for entire day earn a gifted race entry, and those who can help half the day earn partial credit. (credit good for 1 year)

Hosting the Tunnel Marathons requires a lot of work on race day, and we couldn’t do it without our volunteers. Registered volunteers who help out with a race receive a reserved place in one of the three races. This means that when the race is full, you get to sign-up!

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS INCLUDE:

 

    Drop Bag Check, Hyak

    • Set-up check-in tables
    • Collect and organize drop bags in school bus/van

    Start Line Packet Pick-Up, Hyak

    • Set up check-in tables
    • Check in runners, hand out bibs and drop bags

    Aid Station #1- After the Tunnel @ Mile 2.7

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter
    • Collect runners headlamps after Tunnel

    Aid Station #2- Humpback @ Mile 5.3 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #3- Bandera @ Mile 8 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #4- Rock Creek @ Mile 10.7 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #5- Garcia @ Mile 13.4 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #6- Twin Falls @ Mile 16.4 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #7- Cedar Butte @ Mile 18.8 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #8- Cedar Falls @ Mile 21 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #9- Edgewick 1 @ Mile 22.2 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Aid Station #10- Edgewick 2 @ Mile 24.5 

    • Hand out water and Tailwind to runners
    • Clean-up cups and other litter

    Bicycle Course Marshall 

    • Help runners between aid stations
    • Notify Tunnel staff of any on course emergencies

    Sweeper 

    • Inform aid stations when the last runner has passed
    • Notify Tunnel staff of any on course emergencies

    Finish Line 

    • Organize and hand out drop bags to racers
    • Hand out post race food 
    • Hand out hydration at finish
    • Give out finishers medals

    Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up Saturday before the race, 12PM to 4PM

    • Check-in runners, hand out bibs and drop bags
