The Tunnel Marathon races offer one of the fastest courses in the country. This point to point course delivers excellent times thanks to the consistent downhill grade and low starting elevation. It is the perfect race to set a Personal Record and snag a Boston Qualification on a single course. Over 40% of our 2018 runners achieved a BQ!

Registration for all races starts on November 19th at 9 am pacific time. You can register for one or all of our races at the same time, in the same checkout session. All races are on the same beautiful course starting at Snoqualmie Pass and ending near North Bend! Each race is a Boston Qualifier and USATF Certified.
2019 Standard Race Entry
The opportunity to run downhill on this really fast course, bus transportation from our designated parking area to the Start Line, a runner packet, 10 staffed aid stations, beautiful scenery, volunteer support, drop bag service, runner shirt, finisher medal, a dip in our ice tank, cool towels, top tier customer service and delicious vegan chili and eats!
2019 VIP Race Entry
New this year! VIP registrants receive all of the benefits of the Standard Entry with a bunch of extra perks including Luxury Coach transportation to the starting line, preferred parking, and a variety of other services and swag to be announced.
2019 Friends Of Quinn Race Entry
When you register as a Friend of Quinn, you receive all of the benefits of the standard entry, plus a significant portion of the registration fee is a direct contribution to aid a single mother of 4 with a paraplegic boy. This year the family is working to save up enough money to renovate their bathroom to allow for wheelchair access to significantly improve the quality life for the entire family!
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I Qualify For Boston At The September Race?
Every year we have hosted the September Tunnel Light marathon it has fallen within the Boston Marathon eligibility window for the following two years. We do not have control over the exact eligibility window as this is chosen by the Boston association.
Is There A Waiting List After The Race Sells Out?
Once Standard entries are sold out for a race we will open a waiting list. Waiting lists may be open and accepting new applications or they may be closed.
Friends And Family Are Coming With Me. Do They Need To Register?
Spectators do not need to register.
If your family and fans would like to enjoy our Finish Line Area food and drinks please purchase a "Post Race Chili And Eats" package for your specific race for each person that wants to eat.

Do You Offer Refunds, Deferrals, or Transfers?
We have updated our policy in 2019 and now offer refunds and deferrals. Transfers are still not allowed.
Our Registration Policy is as follows. This policy is subject to change at any time, without notice.
- Changing Races within a season: Changes (deferrals) are allowed until 6 weeks before a race with a fee of $25. You are only allowed to defer your registration within a season, or calendar year. You will only be allowed to defer to a race that has open registration spots for the ticket type you have chosen; yes, you can upgrade to a VIP or Charity ticket type of the new race (paying the difference between the ticket types).
- To defer to another race, go to the Registration Verification page and choose your race (that you are currently registered for) to find your ticket - https://www.tunnelmarathon.com/pages/registration-verification
- Choose "defer registration" button (when at the Participant page)
- Pick the race you want to register for...then finish registration and payment
Defer registration to another year: Not allowed
Cancel registration: We understand that life changes and that you may need to change your plans. We care about you and thus, upon request, we will offer a partial refund of 50% up to 12 weeks prior to the race date and 25% up to 6 weeks prior to race date. Transfer registration to another runner: Not allowed.
Ticket type change: we have 3 ticket types for each race: Standard, VIP, Charity (Friends of Quinn)
- FROM Standard TO VIP or Charity - allowed, if space available at new ticket type
- FROM VIP or Charity TO Standard - not allowed
- FROM VIP TO Charity (or vise versa) - not allowed
If you are local and available, you can consider Volunteering for one of our races. Volunteers receive a reserved space in one of our races the following year at the normal rate, even after it sells out up to 6 weeks before the race.
How Do I Verify That I Am Registered For A Race?
Start by looking for your registration confirmation email. Make sure it is specific to the date of the race you are confirming.
A link will be provided on the website main menu, after registration opens, where you can check to see if you are registered, update your contact information, and print or email the registration confirmation.
When Will I Receive Race-Specific Information?
When you register for a race you are added to our list to receive several event-specific emails with information and reminders starting about 6 weeks before the race.
What If I Get Injured?
Please train carefully and care for your injuries. We have updated our policy starting in 2019 to allow partial refunds or deferrals; transfers are not offered. Please refer to the "Do You Offer Refunds, Deferrals, or Transfers?" question on this page for details.
