The Tunnel Half Marathon delivers one of the most unique and fastest half-marathon experiences in the Pacific Northwest.
Run Through History
Your race begins at Hyak Sno-Park and takes you through the legendary Snoqualmie Tunnel — over two miles of cool, dark adventure illuminated by your headlamp and the steady rhythm of runners chasing the light ahead.
Emerging from the tunnel, you’ll descend along the scenic Palouse to Cascades Trail, surrounded by towering evergreens, mountain views, waterfalls, and crisp Washington air.

Approximately 1,000 feet of net downhill

Smooth, packed gravel surface (great for road or light trail shoes)

Point-to-point course finishing at Garcia Trailhead
This is a course designed for strong finishes, personal bests, and unforgettable race memories.
The 2026 Half Marathon course will be USATF-certified (certification scheduled following snowmelt in May).

Shuttle & Finish Experience
After crossing the finish line at Garcia Trailhead, runners will enjoy a scenic one-mile walk down Forest Service Road 9020 to the shuttle buses — the perfect post-race shakeout.
Shuttles will transport runners back to Hyak Sno-Park for celebration and refreshments.

Headlamps are required for the Snoqualmie Tunnel.

The course surface is packed gravel.

Aid stations are positioned approximately every 2–3 miles with water, electrolytes, first aid, and Honey Stinger gels at select locations.

Mile 2.6 – Tunnel Exit: Water, electrolytes, first aid (headlamp drop)
