Race Recap: Tunnel Vision, August 2019
Our second installment of the Tunnel Marathon Series, the Tunnel Vision Marathon, which took place on August 18th, 2019 was a wonderful event complete with vibrant memories, opportunities to learn how to better curate our Marathon, and beautifully clear weather!
Temperatures at the Start Line were approximately 60 degrees and warmed up to a pleasant 75 degrees at the Finish Line! There were 563 finishers in total, 307 men, and 256 women. 190 of which qualified for Boston, that’s 34% of runners!
The youngest runner that day was a 16 year old male who finished at 4:57:46 and the oldest three runners were all 75, two men and one woman, who finished between 5:07:36 and 7:13:20.
We had two starting waves, gun times were 7:01 AM and 7:11AM. The first finisher came through the Finish Line at 2:30:09 and the last finisher came through at 7:16:06.

Post-race emotions were running high that day! Our team felt incredibly grateful as we blissfully observed dedicated finishers as they charged through the Finish Line and displayed many beautiful expressions of elation, accomplishment, and pride for their craft. One more Marathon in our series remains, and we are absolutely chomping at the bit to gather with all the Tunnel Light Marathon runners at the Finish Line to once again bask in the post-race merriment and give our praises to the dexterous men and women who put immense effort into training and coming out to participate in our Tunnel Marathons. We thank everyone who played a part in the Tunnel Vision Marathon for your continued loyalty and dedication to the wonderful sport of running!
